What This Means

Switch contact error because of deformation of the door hook; Door is pulled by force while locked; Door is pushed open during Boil wash due to pressure difference from internal temperature changes; Door lock switch fault

What actually causes this:

The door was not pushed closed firmly enough, or something is caught in the door preventing it from latching

First Thing to Check

Open and firmly close the door again — make sure no laundry is caught in the door seal

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. If a dC error occurs, check whether it occurs during the Boil cycle

  2. 2

    2. If detected that the door is open, close the door properly

  3. 3

    3. Check the door switch resistance — resistance of pins 1 and 3 must be approximately 175 ohms

  4. 4

    4. Check the 120V power directly connected to the door switch

  5. 5

    5. Check the door lock switch for faults

  6. 6

    6. If the door switch is faulty, replace it
