What This Means

Motor spin net is not engaged; Motor internal coil is damaged (short-circuited or cut); Foreign material (e.g., a screw) has entered the motor; Motor overloaded due to too much laundry (non-sensing); PBA fault or weak motor driving signal from PBA; Unstable relay operation; IPM terminal of main PBA not connected; DD motor cover is out of place; PCB housing terminal not connected; DD motor fault

What actually causes this:

Most commonly caused by overloading the washer with too much laundry, which stalls the motor.

First Thing to Check

Reduce the load size — remove about half the laundry and try the cycle again.

How to Fix

    1. Check the motor connector terminal connections

    2. Check if the Motor Cover/Stator is damaged

  3. 3

    3. Check if the coil is broken due to moisture or foreign substance

  4. 4

    4. Measure motor winding coil resistance: unplug the connector and read resistance at any two of the three motor terminals. Expected value: 19.3 ohms at 25°C

    5. If PBA control circuit is defective, replace the PBA
