What actually causes this:
The electronic door latch inside the washer has worn out or its wiring has developed a fault.
First Thing to Check
Unplug the washer for 2 minutes, plug it back in, and try closing the door again.

1. Check the door switch resistance — pins 1 and 3 should read approximately 175 ohm

5. Replace the door switch if faulty, or replace the main PBA if the sensing circuit is faulty
