What This Means
Heater fault or burned out element; Disconnected heater wire; Wash-thermistor fault; Main PCB fault
What actually causes this:
The heating element burned out or the temperature sensor at the back of the tub has failed
First Thing to Check
Turn the washer off, wait 30 seconds, and restart — if the error returns, it needs service

How to Fix

1. Check for connection between wire and heater

2. Measure heater resistance — Type 1 (front location): should read 16.05 plus or minus 0.65 ohms

3. If heater is faulty, replace it

4. If heater tests normal, check the wash-thermistor at the back of the tub (Type 2)
- 5
5. If the wash-thermistor has a functional error, replace it
- 6
6. If both heater and thermistor test normal, replace the Main PBA
