6 technician insights for the this appliance

Standpipe drain leak is often home plumbing, not washer

If a leak appears at the standpipe, wrap a dry rag around the standpipe opening. If the rag becomes wet, the leak is in the home plumbing, not the washer. Also ensure the standpipe is capable of accepting the flow rate from the washer — a slow standpipe causes backup.

Drain Pump Access Requires 13 Base Screws

Drain pump access requires removing back cover, 2 clamps, cover pump, 2 pins, and 13 base screws — more extensive than some models.

Common Drain Pump Foreign Material

Items commonly found blocking drain pump ASSY include rubber bands, bills, cotton, hair pins, and coins. Always check pump for foreign material during drain error diagnosis.

Mist Shower Rinse Efficiency

A separate nozzle sprays water equally so the rinse cycle is effective even with a small amount of water. This improves water efficiency.
