Drain Error — dishwasher does not reach normal drain level
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: OE
What This Means
Filter assembly blocked; Drain hose kinked or blocked; Inner hole of drain case blocked; Air gap clogged; Garbage disposal knockout plug not removed; Washing motor locked or faulty; Wiring connection fault
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Remove and clean the filter assembly (coarse filter + fine filter + cylindrical filter).
- 2
Step 2: Check drain hose for kinks, blockages, or freezing. Remove cause of kink or block.
- 3
Step 3: Check the air gap fitting under the sink; clean if clogged.
- 4
Step 4: If connected to a garbage disposal, verify the knockout plug has been removed from the disposal inlet.
- 5
Step 5: Check connector YL3 at main PCB — reconnect if disconnected.
- 6
Step 6: Measure drain pump motor resistance at YL3 — should be 4-5Ω. If out of spec, replace drain motor.
- 7
Step 7: Measure voltage at YL3 pin1~pin2~pin3 — should be 12V AC ±15%. If absent, replace main PCB assembly.
- 8
Step 8: Inspect drain motor impeller for debris causing lock-up. Clean or replace drain motor.
- 9
Step 9: Check inner hole of drain case for blockage. Repair or replace drain motor if inner hole blocked.
- 10
Step 10: If washing motor is locked or causing drain issue, replace pump casing assembly.
