Error Code AE

Leakage Error — internal leakage detected by float switch in base

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

What This Means

Door gasket came loose or fell off; Float (safety switch) assembly stuck; Controller damaged; Seal assembly not properly connected to sump; Machine not leveled; Wrong detergent used (non-dishwasher detergent causing oversudsing); Door opened during cycle; Too much water in tub (inlet valve or air guide fault)

How to Fix

  1. 1

Check if water is flooded in base: tilt machine and drain; inspect drain hose, pump casing, and vario motor sealing; replace leaking parts

  2. 2

If door gasket came loose: replace door liner assembly

  3. 3

If machine not leveled: level correctly using front and rear leg adjusters

  4. 4

If wrong detergent: use only dishwasher-specific detergent

  5. 5

If safety switch stuck: replace safety switch assembly

  6. 6

If too much water: replace inlet valve or air guide

  7. 7

Check that mounting bracket is properly installed (use digital level)

  8. 8

Document on repair report: what detergent/rinse-aid used, when AE appeared, how many cycles run, most used cycle, water supply temperature, whether door was opened during cycle

  9. 9

Replace main PCB if all other checks pass

  10. 10

Note: For AE, must remove floater switch (safety switch) to inspect underneath
