Error Code GAS
Gas supply error — gas not supplied to the dryer
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: GAS
How to Fix
- 1
Confirm the house gas shutoff valve is fully open.
- 2
Confirm the dryer gas shutoff valve (within 6 ft of dryer) is fully open.
- 3
Inspect the gas supply line for proper connection at the dryer's 3/8-inch NPT connection.
- 4
Check for gas leaks using a non-corrosive leak detection fluid on all pipe connections.
- 5
If gas is confirmed flowing but GAS error persists, enter diagnostic mode and check Valve 1 voltage — should be 90 Vdc or higher when igniting.
- 6
If valve voltage is present, test gas valve resistance: Valve 1 and Valve 2 each should read 1.5 kΩ–2.5 kΩ; replace valve if out of range.
- 7
Check igniter resistance (part 5318EL3001): should be 50–800 Ω.
- 8
Check flame detector: open above 370°F, closed below 320°F with resistance less than 1 Ω when closed.
- 9
If all components test good and error persists, replace the main PCB.
