Lower oven door lock failure
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F20
How to Fix
- 1
Plug in the unit. Just after self-clean starts, the lower door lock motor begins rotating; if the door lock switch does not operate properly after rotating twice, F20 appears.
- 2
Press Lower Clear/Off button for 3 seconds and attempt to open the lower oven door. If door opens and door lock icon illuminates, this is normal; check wiring.
- 3
Unplug the unit.
- 4
Inspect (1) electrical wiring of relay in Main PCB, (2) electrical wiring of lower Locking Motor and Micro Switch, (3) electrical wiring of CN60 and CN61 of Main PCB. Reconnect any loose connector.
- 5
Check lower door lock micro switch (normally open type): With door latch open, COM to NO = continuity. With door latch locked, COM to NO = infinite. If abnormal, replace the micro switch.
- 6
Measure resistance of lower door lock motor (scale: R x 1000): Normal = approximately 2.6 kΩ ±10%. Abnormal = infinite or below 5 Ω. If abnormal, replace the door lock motor.
- 7
If micro switch and motor test normal, replace the Main PCB.
