How to Fix

  1. 1

    Unplug the unit.

  2. 2

Check if any connector is disconnected or loose: check all electrical wiring of Main PCB and electric elements.

  3. 3

If connector is loose or disconnected, reconnect and retest.

  4. 4

Check resistance of each igniter. Upper Broil igniter: 50–500 Ω at room temperature. Upper Bake igniter: 50–500 Ω at room temperature. If infinite (open), replace the failed igniter.

  5. 5

Check thermistor resistance: Normal approximately 1.09 kΩ at 77°F (25°C). Check at CN60 pins 4 and 5, and CN61 pins 5 and 6 of Main PCB.

  6. 6

If thermistor is abnormal, replace the oven temperature sensor.

  7. 7

Plug in unit and verify thermistor value in test mode: Press CLEAR, press upper BAKE and BROIL simultaneously, press BAKE and BROIL simultaneously again. Display should show current oven temp between 70°F and 90°F at room temperature.

  8. 8

Confirm oven gas shut-off valve (located behind the range) is fully open.

  9. 9

If igniters and sensor are normal but F9 persists, replace the Main PCB.
