Error Code F9
Oven No Heating — Oven fails to heat during bake/broil (not applicable to Proof or Warm modes)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Electric wiring disconnected or loose at relay PCB or element terminals; Defective bake or broil heating element (open circuit); Oven thermistor out of normal range; Failed Main PCB or relay
How to Fix
- 1
Detection criteria — Case 1: Start temperature does not exceed 130°F AND oven temperature is ≤150°F AND max oven temp is ≤ start temp. Case 2: Oven temperature is ≤100°F over 5 minutes during preheat.
- 2
Unplug the unit.
- 3
Check all wiring connections at the Relay PCB (all TAB taps) and at the bake and broil element terminals. Reconnect any loose or disconnected wires.
- 4
Measure resistance of bake heater (normal ~16.5 ohm per flow chart, spec sheet shows ~23 ohm at room temp) and broil heater (normal ~13.7 ohm). If infinite (open), replace the failed element.
- 5
Plug the unit back in. Enter test mode (press CLEAR, then press BAKE+BROIL simultaneously, then press BAKE+BROIL again, then press + three times). Read thermistor value — normal is 70–90°F at room temperature.
- 6
Unplug. Check thermistor resistance at CN10 pins 1 and 2 (normal 0.6–1K ohm at 25°C). If abnormal, replace the thermistor.
- 7
If all above checks pass, replace the Main PCB.
