Error Code F10
Door lock fail — door lock motor fails to complete lock/unlock cycle; detected when door lock switch does not operate properly after motor rotates twice
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Failed door lock motor (open or shorted); Failed micro switch (door lock position switch); Loose or disconnected wiring to lock motor or micro switch; Defective relay for door lock on Relay PCB
How to Fix
- 1
Plug in the unit and check door lock motor operation by pressing Clock button for 3 seconds (activates lockout); attempt to open the door — if door opens it is a wiring fault, if it does not open check motor
- 2
Unplug the unit
- 3
Check electrical wiring of relay in Relay PCB, wiring of locking motor and micro switch, and wiring of CN31 on Main PCB; reconnect any loose connectors
- 4
Measure resistance of door lock micro switch (normally open type) — with door unlatched: COM to NO should show continuity; in opposite state: infinite; if abnormal, replace the micro switch
- 5
Measure resistance of door lock motor — normal approximately 2.6 kOhm; abnormal: infinite (open) or below 5 ohms (shorted); if abnormal, replace the lock motor
- 6
If motor and micro switch are normal, replace the Relay PCB
- 7
If same phenomenon occurs after replacing Relay PCB, replace the Main PCB
