Error Code F6
Oven hot — oven temperature exceeds 650F continuously for 2 minutes during cooking (excludes self-clean)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Heater relay stuck closed (shorted relay contacts); Shorted oven sensor giving false low temperature reading; DLB relay shorted
How to Fix
- 1
Unplug the unit
- 2
Check resistance of thermistor at CN31 pins 4 and 5 of Main PCB — normal approximately 1.09 kOhm at 25C; if abnormal, replace the defective thermistor
- 3
Check resistance of broil igniter relay: measure Tab 02 and Tab 22 — relay designation RY12; normal is infinite (open); if shorted, replace Relay PCB
- 4
Check resistance of convection igniter relay: measure Tab 02 and Tab 21 — relay designation RY11; normal is infinite; if shorted, replace Relay PCB
- 5
Check resistance of DLB relay: measure Tab 23 (or Tab 24) and Tab 25 — relay designation RY13; normal is infinite; if shorted, replace Relay PCB
- 6
Plug in the unit and enter test mode (select 't3') to verify thermistor value — normal is 70F to 90F at room temperature
- 7
If thermistor value is abnormal after Relay PCB is normal, replace the Main PCB
This Error Applies To
