Communication Error — Main MICOM to Display MICOM

How to Fix

1. 1

   Check connector CON101 for loose or disconnected wiring. Check hinge harness routing for pinching or damage. Reconnect any loose connections.

2. 2

   Measure voltage at CON101 1st Pin to 2nd Pin. Expected: 12 V. If voltage is not 12 V, check hinge connection or replace main PCB.

3. 3

   Measure voltage at CON101 5th Pin to 2nd Pin. Expected: 12 V. If voltage is not 12 V, check hinge connection or replace main PCB.

4. 4

   Measure voltage at CON101 3rd Pin to 2nd Pin. Expected: not 0 or 5 V (oscillating data signal). If voltage is 0 or 5 (static), replace display PCB.

5. 5

   Measure voltage at CON101 4th Pin to 2nd Pin. Expected: not 0 or 5 V. If static, replace main PCB.

6. 6

   Measure voltage at CON5 4th Pin to 3rd Pin. Expected: not 0 or 5 V. If static, replace display PCB.

7. 7

   Measure voltage at CON5 5th Pin to 3rd Pin. Expected: not 0 or 5 V. If static, replace main PCB.

8. 8

   If all voltage checks pass, explain normal operation to customer.
