Error Code F dH
Defrost Heater Failure
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Inspect door gasket for damage. If gasket is damaged or not sealing, replace the door gasket.
- 2
Enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time). Measure defrost heater resistance at CON9, 5th Pin to 13th Pin. Expected: 42–50 Ω. If resistance is outside this range, check and replace the Fuse-M.
- 3
Measure defrost sensor resistance at CON8, 26th Pin to 25th Pin. Compare to temperature table. If sensor reads 22 kΩ at room temperature and is within range, go to step 4.
- 4
Enter Test Mode 3 (press test button 3 times = forced defrost). Check heater voltage at CON9, 5th Pin to 13th Pin. Expected: 112–116 V. If voltage is not 112–116 V, replace the main PCB.
- 5
Enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time). Check heater voltage at CON9, 5th Pin to 13th Pin. Expected: 0 V (heater OFF in test mode 1). If voltage is not 0 V, replace the main PCB.
- 6
If all checks pass, explain normal operation to customer (possible intermittent door seal issue).
