Freezer Fan Motor Error (BLDC)

How to Fix

Reset the unit and input Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time).

Open the freezer door and check air flow. If air is flowing (windy): go to step 4.

If no air flow: physically rotate the fan blade by hand. If it feels sticky or stiff: replace the fan motor.

In Test Mode 1, measure voltage at CON7 pin 8 to pin 5. Expected: 12V (power supply). If not 12V: replace Main PCB.

Measure fan control signal voltage at CON7 pin 6 to pin 5. Expected: 0V to 5V (PWM signal). If not in this range: replace Main PCB.

Measure fan feedback voltage at CON7 pin 7 to pin 5. Expected: 0V to 5V. If not in this range: replace the fan motor.

If all voltages are correct and fan still does not operate: explain normal intermittent operation to customer (MICOM auto-resets after 30 min).
