Defrost Heater Error / Poor Defrosting
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: dH F
How to Fix
- 1
Check door gasket for damage. If gasket is damaged: replace the door gasket.
- 2
Check Fuse-M resistance. Expected: 0 ohms (continuity). If resistance is not 0 (open): replace fuse/defrost controller assembly.
- 3
Check defrost sensor resistance. Expected: approximately 22k ohms at room temperature or per the sensor table. If resistance is open (OFF): replace the defrost sensor.
- 4
Input Test Mode 3 (push test button 3 times — display shows '33 33', forced defrost mode). Measure voltage at CON7 pin 6 to pin 12. Expected: 112V~116V during defrost. If voltage is 112~116V but defrost still fails: heater or thermal fuse is open.
- 5
Input Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time). Measure voltage at CON7 pin 6 to pin 12. Expected: 0V (heater off in test mode 1). If voltage is not 0V: replace Main PCB.
- 6
If Test Mode 3 shows 0V instead of 112~116V: replace Main PCB.
