How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Enter Test Mode 2 (push test button twice). Check heater voltage at CON9 7th~13th pin. Expected: 120V.
- 2
Step 2: If heater voltage is not 112~116V in Test Mode 2, replace the Main PCB.
- 3
Step 3: Check door gasket for damage. If door gasket is damaged, replace the door gasket.
- 4
Step 4: Check defrost control parts: verify Fuse-M resistance is 0 ohm (continuity) and Defrost Heater resistance is 39~44 ohm. If Fuse-M is open, change the Fuse-M.
- 5
Step 5: Enter Test Mode 1 (push test button once). Check heater voltage at CON9 7th~13th pin. Expected: 0V.
- 6
Step 6: If voltage is not 0V in Test Mode 1, replace the Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: Check defrost sensor resistance. If resistance is 22k ohm or OFF (open), replace sensor or main PCB.
- 8
Step 8: If all checks pass, explain to customer.
