How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check CON8 Pin 20 ~ Pin 19 for short (0 Ω) or open (infinite) resistance. Short = replace sensor immediately.

  2. 2

    Check that the connector between Main PCB and refrigerator sensor is fully seated and undamaged. Reconnect or repair as needed.

  3. 3

    Measure sensor resistance at Pin 20 ~ Pin 19 and compare against table (23°F=38kΩ, 32°F=30kΩ, 41°F=24kΩ, 50°F=19.5kΩ, 59°F=16kΩ).

  4. 4

    If resistance is within normal range for the ambient temperature, explain to customer that operation is normal.

  5. 5

    If resistance is abnormal with good connector, replace the refrigerator thermistor.

  6. 6

    If the error persists after sensor replacement, replace the Main PCB.
