Error Code E FF
Freezer fan (BLDC) defect — no feedback signal from fan motor for more than 65 seconds
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FF
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Reset the unit. Enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time).
- 2
Step 2: Open the freezer door and check for airflow. If windy, go to Step 4.
- 3
Step 3: If no airflow, manually rotate the fan blade. If blade feels sticky or bound, replace the fan motor.
- 4
Step 4: Measure fan motor supply voltage at CON4 pin 20 to pin 19 in Test Mode 1. Expected: 11.4 to 12.6V. If voltage is not correct, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Step 5: Measure fan feedback voltage at CON4 pin 18 to pin 19. Expected: not 0V or 5V (should be varying). If reading is 0V or 5V (not pulsing), replace the fan motor.
- 6
Step 6: Measure fan PWM voltage at CON4 pin 17 to pin 19. Expected: not 0V or 5V. If reading is fixed at 0V or 5V, replace Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: If all voltages are correct, explain to customer.
