Error Code E FS
Freezer sensor defect — short-circuit or disconnection of freezer sensor
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FS
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Check if the connector between Main PCB and sensor is disconnected or loose. If yes, reconnect or repair the connector.
- 2
Step 2: Measure sensor resistance at CON8 pins 22 to 21. If resistance is 0 Ω (short), replace the sensor.
- 3
Step 3: If resistance is open (infinite/OL), proceed to Step 6.
- 4
Step 4: Compare measured resistance to the temperature/resistance table. If resistance does not match expected value for ambient temperature, replace the sensor.
- 5
Step 5: If resistance is within table spec, explain to customer (normal operation).
- 6
Step 6: Check the sensor harness connection between sensor and PCB. If connection is normal, replace the refrigerator main PCB. If connection is not normal, reconnect or repair the connector.
