Error Code E CH
High Side Cycle Leakage — detected by high amplitude cycle variation; caused by high-side refrigerant leak, restriction in system, bad compressor, or bad valve
Moderate

How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Use SVC App (Step 1) to determine if fault is compressor, sealed system, or customer complaint (no actual fault). If no SVC App available, use a temperature gun to check component temperatures.
- 2
Step 2: Check PCB voltage to confirm PCB is functioning correctly.
- 3
Step 3: Measure high-pressure side (at drier) and low-pressure side (at compressor processing pipe). Record time for pressures to equalize. Normal equalization is fast; if it takes more than 15 minutes, the system is restricted.
- 4
Step 4: Check equalization pressure. If equalization pressure is below ~40 psi, refrigerant is low — proceed with leak detection.
- 5
Step 5: Use SVC App Step 2 or charge with nitrogen or R134a to perform leak test.
- 6
Step 6: Check high-pressure parts (condenser, drier) for leaks using UV dye or electronic leak detector.
- 7
Step 7: If no high-pressure leak found, check low-pressure parts (evaporator, suction pipe).
- 8
Step 8: Repair leak, replace drier, and recharge with R600a (55g). After repair, monitor until freezer reaches 14°F — error clears automatically.
- 9
Step 9: If no leak found but error persists and sealed system temperatures are normal, press F key + R key 3 times with door open to force-delete error.
Still Not Working?
Error clears automatically when freezer reaches 14°F after repair. Forced deletion: press F key + R key 3 times with door open.
