How to Fix

Step 1: Check connector between Main PCB and room temperature sensor for loose or disconnected pins. If disconnected, reconnect.

Step 2: Measure room temperature sensor resistance. If 0 Ω (shorted) or infinite Ω (open), replace the sensor.

Step 3: Verify resistance matches expected value for ambient temperature. If resistance is correct, explain to customer.

Step 4: If connector and sensor are good but error persists, replace Main PCB.

Defrost Sensor Error — short or disconnection of defrost sensor
Icing Sensor Error — short or disconnection of icing sensor (ice maker sensor). Note: E IS displayed without user input indicates icing sensor fault; E IS generated by user action (pressing test switch within 1 week of ice twisting) indicates ice maker mechanical issue.
Defrost Heater Error — defrost temperature does not rise above 47°F (8°C) within expected time; caused by door gasket failure, defrost heater open, blown Fuse-M, or poor PCB relay
Freezer Fan (BLDC) Error — abnormality of BLDC fan motor for freezer; motor does not respond after 3 retry attempts (each attempt: 15s on, 10s off)
Condenser Fan (BLDC) Error — abnormality of BLDC fan motor for mechanical/condenser room
Communication Error — loss of communication between Main PCB MICOM and Display PCB MICOM; also between Transmitter and Receiver
Low Side Cycle Leakage — detected by low amplitude cycle variation; caused by low-side refrigerant leak, bad compressor, or extended door-open condition
High Side Cycle Leakage — detected by high amplitude cycle variation; caused by high-side refrigerant leak, restriction in system, bad compressor, or bad valve
