Error Code E FS
Freezer Sensor Abnormal — Freezer sensor short or open failure
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FS
How to Fix
- 1
Check CON4 connector (pins 17~18) between Main PCB and freezer sensor for loose or disconnected condition.
- 2
If connector is loose/disconnected, reconnect or repair the connector.
- 3
Measure freezer sensor resistance at CON4 pins 17~18: 0 ohm = short (replace sensor), Open/infinity = open (replace sensor).
- 4
Compare measured resistance to temperature chart: -30°C=40k, -25°C=30k, -20°C=23k, -15°C=17k, -10°C=13k, -5°C=10k, 0°C=8k ohms.
- 5
If resistance is normal and matches temperature, explain situation to customer (intermittent issue or PCB fault).
- 6
If sensor repeatedly fails after replacement, replace the Main PCB.
