Error Code F dH
Defrost Heater Abnormal — Defrost heater or thermal fuse short circuit or unplugged connector. Indicated 4 hours after trouble occurs.
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F dH
How to Fix
- 1
Check door gasket for damage; replace door gasket if damaged.
- 2
Measure Fuse-M resistance: should be 0 ohm (continuity). If open, replace Fuse-M.
- 3
Measure Defrost Heater resistance at heater terminals: normal range is 48~54 ohm. If open or shorted, replace heater.
- 4
Measure Defrost Sensor resistance: should be approximately 22k ohm at room temperature. If open or grossly out of range, replace sensor.
- 5
Enter Test Mode 2 (push test button 2 times) and measure voltage at CON9 pins 7~13: expected 112V~116V. If voltage is absent, replace Main PCB.
- 6
Enter Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time) and measure voltage at CON9 pins 7~13: expected 0V. If not 0V, replace Main PCB.
- 7
If all parts test good and voltage is correct, explain to customer (possible intermittent door seal issue).
