Error Code tE
Heating Error — thermistor is out of order or water temperature cannot be reached.
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Thermistor (temperature sensor) defective or out of range; Wiring harness to thermistor open or shorted
How to Fix
- 1
Confirm tE is displayed.
- 2
Check thermistor resistance between pins 1 and 2. Expected values: 39.5 kΩ at 86°F (30°C), 26.1 kΩ at 104°F (40°C), 12.1 kΩ at 140°F (60°C), 8.5 kΩ at 158°F (70°C), 3.8 kΩ at 203°F (95°C), 2.8 kΩ at 221°F (105°C). Tolerance ±5%.
- 3
If resistance is out of specified range → replace the HEATER ASSEMBLY (K320) which includes the thermistor.
- 4
If resistance is in range → check wiring harness continuity to MAIN PWB connector NA3.
- 5
If wiring is OK → replace the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY.
