Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: HE (indicated by check code display 60)
What This Means
Heater is broken; Thermistor doesn't work normally; Main PBA has some problems
What actually causes this:
The heating element burned out or the temperature sensor is giving bad readings
First Thing to Check
After running a cycle, check if your dishes feel cold — if so, the heater has likely failed
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Enter SVC Test mode STEP 02 — wash pump turns on, then heater activates 10 seconds later
- 2
2. Listen for beep when temperature rises by 3-5 degrees — loads shut off when temperature exceeds 57 degrees
- 3
3. If temperature does not reach 57 degrees after 90 minutes, heater error is confirmed (Express and Heavy lights flicker quickly)
- 4
4. Measure voltage between both ends of the thermistor — normal: 0.2V to 4.5V
- 5
5. Measure resistance between both ends of the thermistor (disconnect connector first)
- 6
6. If thermistor tests normal, replace Main PBA
