Error Code tC5
A secondary temperature sensor is giving bad readings
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: tC5
What This Means
Thermistor 2 resistance out of range (open or shorted); Damaged or disconnected thermistor wiring; PCB sensor circuit failure
What actually causes this:
Similar to the main temperature sensor error — usually caused by lint buildup restricting airflow, or the sensor itself has worn out.
First Thing to Check
Clean the lint screen thoroughly and make sure the exhaust vent path is clear.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Measure Thermistor 2 resistance: should be 50kOhm at 25C (77F)
- 2
2. If resistance is out of range, replace Thermistor 2
- 3
3. Check wiring between thermistor and main PCB
