Also displayed as: tC5
What This Means
Clogged lint screen restricting airflow; Restricted vent system; Thermistor 2 resistance out of range (open or shorted); Damaged thermistor 2 wiring (Yellow wire Pin 2 to White wire Pin 7 on CN7)
What actually causes this:
Similar to the main temperature sensor error — usually caused by lint buildup restricting airflow, or the sensor itself has worn out.

Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check and clean the lint screen
- 2
2. Inspect the exhaust vent system for restrictions or blockages
- 3
3. Disconnect harness and measure thermistor 2 resistance between Yellow wire Pin 2 and White wire Pin 7: should be approximately 238.231KOhm at 25C (77F)
- 4
4. If thermistor 2 resistance is out of range, replace the thermistor
