What actually causes this:
Motor failure, loose connections, misaligned latch body, or worn door lock mechanism
First Thing to Check
Disconnect power and check all connections to door lock motor and switch

Check harness connection to door lock switch and motor

Measure door lock motor resistance (should be 1600-2200Ω at room temperature)

Measure voltage at door lock motor terminals (should be AC 120V)
