What This Means

Oven sensor malfunction; Defective broil heater; Defective bake heater; Defective convection heater; Main PCB DLB relay failure; Harness disconnection at heater relays; Short circuit in heater circuit

What actually causes this:

Oven temperature exceeds maximum safe operating temperature - typically caused by stuck relay, sensor failure, or uncontrolled heating element

First Thing to Check

Measure oven sensor resistance at room temperature - normal is approximately 1000 ohms

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Disconnect power and open back cover

  2. 2

    Disconnect sensor harness from control

  3. 3

    Measure sensor resistance at room temperature - should be approximately 1000 ohms

  4. 4

    Check resistance of each heater (broil, bake, convection)

  5. 5

    Check DLB, Broil, Bake and Convection heater relays on main PCB for normal operation

  6. 6

    Check for disconnection of harness between main PCB and sub PCB

  7. 7

    Measure oven sensor connector resistance on main PCB - normal is 1000 ohms
