The condenser fan motor in the machine room isn't running

What This Means

Defective fan motor; Contact problem at MAIN PCB connector terminal CN76 pins 7, 8, 10; Contact problem at C-Fan motor connector; Defective motor wire; Feed back signal wire contact defect

What actually causes this:

The motor that cools the condenser in the back or side of the fridge failed or came unplugged

First Thing to Check

Feel for hot air coming from the back or bottom of the refrigerator

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Run Forced Operation mode to verify compressor runs

  2. 2

    2. Check if DC 7-12V is present between MAIN PCB GND and CN76 #8

  3. 3

    3. Verify DC 7-12V between GND and CN76 #8, and lower than DC 2V between GND and CN76 #7

  4. 4

    4. If voltages are correct but fan does not run, replace fan motor

  5. 5

    5. If voltages are incorrect, replace MAIN PCB
