What This Means

Connector slipped out or open contact; Wire cut or short-circuited; Freezer temperature sensor defective; Sensor reading abnormally high or low; MAIN PCB connector CN30 not seated properly

What actually causes this:

The freezer thermistor wire came loose or the sensor went bad

First Thing to Check

Make sure the freezer is reaching proper cold temperature and not warming up unexpectedly

How to Fix

    1. Check and reconnect MAIN PCB Connector CN30

  2. 2

    2. Measure voltage between CN30-'3'(BRN) and CN30-'7'(GRY) terminals

  3. 3

    3. Voltage should be between 4.6V and 0.5V

  4. 4

    4. Input voltage at IC10 MICOM Pin #25 should be normal

  5. 5

    5. Check sensor resistance between CN30 #3 and #7

  6. 6

    6. Verify wiring continuity and solder connections
