Error Code F-1-1
The sensor that reads room temperature is not working properly
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F-1-1 (LED blink pattern)
What This Means
Ambient sensor housing separated; Sensor connector contact error; Sensor wire disconnection; Sensor short circuit; Sensing temperature above 149°F or below -58°F
What actually causes this:
The ambient temperature sensor wire came loose — it is located near the top hinge
First Thing to Check
Try unplugging the refrigerator for 5 minutes and plugging it back in to reset
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check if Main PCB Connector CN31 is inserted correctly
- 2
2. Check if Ambient Sensor unit is normal by measuring resistance at CN31 #1 to #3 — compare with temperature table
- 3
3. Measure voltage between Main PCB Connector CN31-#1 (White) and REG1 Heat Sink — should be between 0.6V and 4.6V
- 4
4. Check input voltage of IC10 MICOM #59 — should match CN31-#1 voltage
- 5
5. If all normal, recheck bad contact of connector
