The fan that circulates air in the freezer is not working
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F-1-4 (LED blink pattern)
What This Means
Fan motor feedback signal line contact error; Motor wire separation; Motor failure during operation; Foreign matter (such as ice) blocking motor rotation
What actually causes this:
Ice buildup is blocking the freezer fan, or the fan motor burned out
First Thing to Check
Listen for buzzing or clicking from inside the freezer — this usually means the fan is blocked by ice
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Execute manual operation to verify compressor is running
- 2
2. Check if door switch is functioning correctly (MICOM #60: 0V when closed, 5V when open)
- 3
3. Measure voltage between Main PCB REG1 Heat Sink and CN76-#5 (Red) — should be around DC 7–12V
- 4
4. Check if DC 7–12V alternates with below DC 2V between REG1 Heat Sink and CN76-#5 (Red) — confirms pulse signal
- 5
5. If motor is locked by ice, system retries 4 times at 10-second intervals
