Defrost heater element burned out or thermostat stuck

Check freezer for excessive ice buildup on evaporator vents — this indicates defrost failure

How to Fix

1. Power off refrigerator and wait 5 minutes

2. Separate Main PCB CN70_1 connector from PCB
- 3
3. Measure resistance between CN70_1-7 and 3 — should be 63 ohms ± 7% (230 ohms ± 7% depending on input power)

4. If 0 ohms: heater is shorted
- 5
5. If infinite ohms: heater or bimetal is open — needs replacement
- 6
6. If resistance is correct: check bimetal thermostat function
