What actually causes this:
Ice maker mechanism stuck or motor failed, or water supply disconnected

Check water supply line is connected and not frozen — turn off ice maker and restart refrigerator

2. Wait 5 minutes and plug back in

3. Listen for ice maker motor operation and beeping sounds

4. If no response, check water supply is connected
