Loose connector at CN30-6 or CN76-1; Damaged thermistor sensor; PCB solder joint failure; Broken wire in sensor circuit

What actually causes this:

Temperature sensor connection has become loose or sensor has failed

First Thing to Check

Locate the refrigerator compartment temperature sensor and verify the connector is fully seated

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage between Main PCB CN30-6 and CN76-1

  2. 2

    Expected voltage range: 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    If out of range, check connector connections

  4. 4

    Measure resistance at sensor terminals
