Ice room fan motor failed or is not sending feedback signal
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F-10-2 (LED blink pattern on panel)
What This Means
Fan motor failed; Feedback signal line broken or connector loose; Motor wire separation; Ice obstruction on fan blade; Ice room temperature out of operating range
What actually causes this:
Fan motor seized or ice has blocked the blade inside the ice room compartment.
First Thing to Check
Run a manual defrost first if there is ice buildup, then re-test the fan.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Execute manual operation to force compressor and fans on
- 2
Measure voltage between MAIN PCB REG1 Heater Sink and CN76 #2 (Black) — should be DC 6–12V
- 3
Check if DC 7–12V alternates with below 2V at CN76 #2 (Black) for pulse pattern
- 4
Check CN76 #6 (Pink) for the feedback pulse signal (~2–3V on multimeter)
- 5
Verify ice room temperature is within operating range (Fan ON: 8.6°F / -13°C, Fan OFF: 26.6°F / -3°C)
