Error Code F-1-2
Freezer compartment temperature sensor is faulty or out of range
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F-1-2 (LED blink pattern on panel)
What This Means
Connector at CN30/CN76 loose or disconnected; Sensor reading above 149°F (65°C) or below -58°F (-50°C); Sensor wire broken or shorted; Failed 502AT thermistor
What actually causes this:
Sensor connector worked loose or the thermistor bead cracked from repeated freezing cycles.
First Thing to Check
Pull the freezer evaporator cover and check that the blue/red sensor wire connector is firmly seated.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check MAIN PCB connectors CN30 and CN76 are fully seated
- 2
Measure resistance between CN30 #3 (Red) and CN76 #1 (Gray) — compare to DATA1 temperature table
- 3
Measure voltage at CN30 #3 (Red) vs REG1 HEAT SINK ground — should be 0.6V to 4.6V
- 4
Check IC01 MICOM pin #81 input voltage
- 5
Check SENSOR MARKING #1 (R309) on PCB
