Error Code F-1-4

Freezer compartment fan motor is not running or not sending feedback

Critical

Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue

Also displayed as: F-1-4 (LED blink pattern on panel)

What This Means

Fan motor feedback signal line broken or poor contact; Motor failed; Motor wiring connector separation; Ice or foreign object blocking fan blade

What actually causes this:

Ice formation from a defrost issue or a worn motor — the freezer fan runs constantly when the compressor is on.

First Thing to Check

Listen with the freezer door open (briefly) — you should hear the fan. If silent and compressor is running, the fan has likely failed or is frozen.

Parts Involved

MOTOR BLDC F-FAN (DREP5020LC)Main PCB (CN76 connector)

How to Fix

  1. 1

Execute manual operation test mode (Energy Saver + Fridge for 8 seconds)

  2. 2

    Verify compressor is ON

  3. 3

Measure voltage between MAIN PCB REG1 Heater Sink and CN76 #3 (Yellow) — should be DC 7–12V

  4. 4

Check if DC 7–12V alternates with below 2V at CN76 #3 (Yellow) for pulse pattern

  5. 5

CN76 #7 (Brown) carries the F-FAN feedback pulse — measure voltage, expect ~2–3V with multimeter due to pulse signal
