Error Code F-1-5
Condenser fan motor is not running or not providing feedback during operation
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F-1-5 (LED blink pattern on panel)
What This Means
Condenser fan motor failed; Feedback signal line broken or connector loose; Motor wire separation; Physical obstruction around condenser fan
What actually causes this:
The condenser fan in the machine compartment has seized or failed — this leads to poor heat rejection and warm temperatures throughout.
First Thing to Check
Pull the fridge away from the wall, remove the compressor cover, and listen for the condenser fan while the compressor runs.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure voltage between MAIN PCB REG1 Heater Sink and CN76 #5 (Sky-blue) — should be DC 7–12V when compressor is running
- 2
Check if DC 7–12V alternates with below 2V at CN76 #5 (Sky-blue)
- 3
Verify compressor is ON before testing
- 4
Check that external ambient temperature is above 66.2°F (19°C); C-FAN may not operate below ~59°F (15°C)
- 5
Inspect the condenser fan area in the machine compartment for debris or obstruction
