Error Code R-10-1
Pantry compartment damper heater is open or disconnected
Minor
Usually easy to fix - may resolve on its own
Also displayed as: R-10-1 (LED blink pattern on panel)
What This Means
Damper heater wire disconnected or open; Connector at CN91 loose or off; Heater element burned out; Short circuit in heater
What actually causes this:
The damper heater wire harness connector came loose, or the heater element inside the damper assembly has burned out.
First Thing to Check
Push the CN91 connector on the main board firmly until it clicks. This is a small connector that can shake loose.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check that MAIN PCB connector CN91 is fully seated
- 2
Disconnect CN91 and measure resistance between CN91 #1 (Black) and CN91 #2 (Brown) — should be 145 ohm ±7%
- 3
0 ohm = short trouble; infinite = open (wire disconnection or heater disconnection)
- 4
Check IC02 MICOM pin #42 voltage — should be 3.5V–4.8V when heater is off, drops to 0V when heater activates
