What This Means

Failed ice maker thermistor; Bad connector contact at CN90 pin 14; Wiring short or open

What actually causes this:

Failed thermistor inside ice maker assembly, usually from ice buildup or freeze-thaw damage

First Thing to Check

Measure resistance at CN90 pins 14 to 24 with power off

How to Fix

  1. 1

    With power off, measure resistance at CN90-14(WHT) to CN90-24(WHT)

  2. 2

    With power on, measure voltage at CN90-14(WHT) vs CN90-13 (GND): should be 0.6V to 4.6V

  3. 3

    Check MICOM IC01 pin #14 input voltage

  4. 4

    Verify R925 resistor on PCB
