Sensor housing separation; Contact error; Disconnection; Short circuit; Temperature sensor reading above 65°C or below -50°C

What actually causes this:

The sensor that detects when the freezer is done defrosting is disconnected or failed

First Thing to Check

Check if the connector is seated properly at CN20 pins 5-7

Parts Involved

Thermistor (DTN-C502)CN20 connector pins 5-7

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Measure voltage between Main PCB CN20 5PIN and 7PIN

  2. 2

    Voltage should read between 4.5V and 1.0V

  3. 3

    Check resistance using F/R/F-DEF temperature table
