What This Means

Connector Slipped-Out or Open-Contact; Wire Cut or Short-Circuited; Abnormal Sensing Temperature (above +50°C or below -50°C)

What actually causes this:

The sensor measuring room temperature stopped working, throwing off the cooling calculations.

First Thing to Check

Examine the upper freezer hinge cover where the ambient sensor is mounted for loose wires.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN30 #1 and #2

  2. 2

    Voltage should be within range 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    Compare sensed temperature against actual room temperature
