What This Means

Connector Slipped-Out or Open-Contact; Separation of sensor housing part; Contact error or disconnection; Short circuit

What actually causes this:

Ice maker sensor failed, so the system can't detect when water is frozen enough to eject.

First Thing to Check

Look inside the ice maker compartment for any disconnected sensor wires.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN90 #3 and #8

  2. 2

    Voltage should be within range 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    Check ice maker sensor housing for cracks or separation
