What actually causes this:

The ice maker mechanism keeps jamming or failing — often caused by low water pressure, a stuck auger, or a faulty motor.

First Thing to Check

Check that the water supply line is connected, the shutoff valve is open, and the freezer is cold enough (below 0°F).

    After replacing ice maker, verify normal operation
