Error Code 84
Compressor motor is locked, running too slowly, or receiving unstable voltage
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: LED 84 blink / 4 blinks on Inverter LED
What This Means
Compressor mechanically restricted for more than 5 seconds; Compressor running below 1000 RPM for more than 5 seconds; Current sensing resistor R1 shorted; Severe input voltage fluctuation; Compressor mechanical fault or refrigeration cycle restriction
What actually causes this:
The compressor motor has seized up or is running far too slow — possibly due to power fluctuations or a mechanical problem inside the compressor.
First Thing to Check
Check if the building power supply has voltage fluctuations or very low voltage at the outlet.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check for severe AC input voltage fluctuations
- 2
Inspect PCB bottom side solder joints
- 3
Check resistor R1 on inverter PCB for short
- 4
Check compressor and refrigeration cycle for mechanical restriction
