Error Code 85
AC supply voltage is too low to safely run the compressor
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: LED 85 blink / 5 blinks on Inverter LED
What This Means
Input AC voltage at or below 106V (for 110–127V supply); DC link resistor R312 shorted on inverter PCB
What actually causes this:
The power coming into the refrigerator is too low — possibly a weak outlet, long extension cord, or low building voltage.
First Thing to Check
Measure the outlet voltage with a multimeter — it should read 110–120V; if below 106V, the power supply is the problem.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure AC input voltage at power cord/outlet — must be above 106V
- 2
Check DC link resistor R312 on inverter PCB for short
- 3
Check PCB bottom side solder joints
